The image above is a photograph of my first canvas painting: an Impressionistic fantasy painting I did for my parents to hang up in their house. This painting is meant to depict a charitable fallen angel (hence the crescent-shaped halo) shunned by the heavens above and exposed to the human society below.
I originally planned to paint the angel being chained by beams of light above and strings of darkness below, illustrating the meaning behind the title. However, I feared that doing so would ruin the colours and textures, so I skipped this idea altogether.
