The Man With The Golden Torc - Molly Metcalf

This is a series of initial sketches for my character design for Molly Metcalf, one of the characters from Simon R. Green's fantasy novel "The Man with the Golden Torc."

This is for the second part of my in-course assignment (ICA) in Perspective & Figure Drawing, in which students must design six existing characters from a novel (while strictly following their original character descriptions) and draw them all in one scripted action scene.

I had a lot of fun designing this character. I've always wanted to draw a modern witch character.

For some reason, I always like drawing sinister-looking female characters regardless whether they're good or evil. Guess I could blame myself for playing Bayonetta.
