This is another fully-animated "memory" for Project Memoir, a conceptual emotional rhythm/puzzle game heavily influenced by Tetsuya Mizuguchi's smash-hit Lumines.

As mentioned earlier with my initial sketches and user interface diagram, Project Memoir is meant to be an emotional experience taking place in the mind of our protagonist (i.e. psychiatric hospital patient) using a titular audio/video visor that can replay past memories of its user(s).

These memories will serve as the skins for the game which change from one to the next as the player progresses through.

This memory is titled "Flare Beetle" and was created obviously in homage to several famous arcade space shooters including Taito's Space Invaders as well as Namco's Galaxian and Galaga. However, Flare Beetle is actually meant to be an endless racing game in which the player must pilot the titular spaceship for as long as possible without either crashing into a mine or overheating. The player can fire bullets (one at a time) to shoot mines out of the way and cool down by flying over flashing green arrows.

T'ah very much! I'm hoping to design and/or animate enough memories for a full-scale indie game...Of course, I would have to hire a good team of programmers and a few composers (e.g. Jake Kaufman).
